Adamson Law Debate Team bags awards in ANC Debates

The Adamson University Law Moot and Debate team secured awards during the V&A Law Debates, which is featured on the Square-off program of ABS-CBN News Channel (ANC) last June 14.
The elimination round featured the Adamsonians besting the debaters from the Ateneo de Manila Law School (ALS), with Maya Jajalla being chosen as the Best Speaker.
The two teams argued on the resolution stating that airline companies must penalized with massive cancellation of flights. Adamson upheld the negative argument.
Jajalla, again, bagged the Best Speaker award in Adamson’s quarterfinal effort that was halted by the team from the University of San Carlos. The teams disputed on the amendment of the Public Service Act to provide a clearer definition of public services.
The V&A Law Debates, which is now on its 17th Season, features law students from some of the country's top law schools engaging in a moot debate. It is sponsored by ANC and the Villaraza & Angangco Law Firm which was founded by Supreme Court Justice Antonio Carpio and F. Arthur Villaraza.
