The Falcons absorbed their second defeat in the 2019 Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup after succumbing to UAAP rivals FEU Tamaraws, 63-66, last June 3 at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.
Adamson had the chance to tie the game again at 66 with a triple from rookie Aaron Fermin, who also hit a clutch three with 44 seconds left to tie the game at 63.
But unlike his first attempt that was wide-open, the second game-tying three had FEU defense draped all-over it, resulting to a miss from the first year forward.
Lenda Douanga led the Falcons with a 17-point, 16-rebound double-double, while Jerom Lastimosa and Fermin picked up the slack of misfiring gunner Jerrick Ahanmisi with 10 points each.
The Falcons, who now hold a 4-2 card, look to bounce back against the National University Bulldogs in the final day of the elimination rounds on June 14.
