Falcons squeak past Letran in Filoil Cup

Adamson had to bank on a total team effort to keep the Colegio de San Juan de Letran (CSJL) Knights at bay, 89-85, for a two-game winning streak in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan last May 25.
Although the scores remained close, the Falcons had a wire-to-wire finish, never conceding the lead to their foes from Intramuros.
Falcons main gunner Jerrick Ahanmisi led the team with 17 markers, four rebounds and four assists while Congolese recruit Lenda Douanga had a near double-double of 12 points and 9 boards.
With the win, Adamson’s record rose to a 3-1.
They aim for their third straight win against NCAA’s Jose Rizal University Heavy Bombers on May 27.
