Adamson falters late en route to first Filoil Cup loss

The Falcons absorbed their first loss after they crumbled in the closing chapter of their game against the Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Pirates, 82-81, in the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup at the Filoil Flying V Center in San Juan last May 10.
Adamson held a 5-point lead entering the 22-second mark of the fourth canto before LPU launched a 6-point barrage led by NCAA Season 93 rookie of the Year Jaycee Marcelino to steal the game.
Team Captain Simon Camacho led Adamson with 19 points and seven rebounds while new Falcon slotman Lenda Douanga tallied an 18-point, 10-rebound double-double in his preseason debut.
Adamson will next face the College of St. Benilde Blazers on May 14.
