Adamson University’s Innovation Technology Support Office (ITSO) has thrown its support behind the celebration of the 2019 National Intellectual Property Rights Month by recognizing Intellectual Property in Education and Sports. The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL) is spearheading the celebration. In a broader effort to advance IP awareness and information, IP Education is atop the agenda of IPOPHL this year.
In connection to this, Adamson’s ITSO conducted an IP awareness campaign at the ST building lobby last April 15, 2019. The campaign encouraged students to make hugot lines to demonstrate their awareness of what ITSO and IP stand for.
Part of IPOPHIL’s month-long celebration are fora, focus-group discussions and workshops. Dr. Venusmar C. Quevedo, VP for Administrative Affairs of Adamson and current ITSO manager is one of the invited speakers in the Intellectual Property Convergence forum that will be held on April 26.
