Two Business Administration students from Adamson graduated from their studies at Teikyo University in Japan last March 17, 2019. The graduation ceremony was held at the Nippon Budokan. Alvin Ligaya De la Cruz, a 4th year Business Administration major in Business Economics student and Christine Ann Yulo Solomon, a 3rd year Business Administration major in Marketing Management student, completed their Economics program at Teikyo two years after arriving in Japan in March 2017. De la Cruz and Solomon were sent as scholars of the Teikyo Asia Exchange Program after Adamson University and Teikyo University signed a Memorandum of Understanding back in July 2016.

University president Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM and Office for University Relations director Sr. Maruja S. Padre Juan, MSCS attended the graduation ceremony. Teikyo officials who were present were Prof. Atsushi Nishioka, director of the Center for Global Education; Dr. Yoshiki Enatsu dean of the Faculty of Economics; and Dr. Ryo Ochiai director of International Relations.  The parents and some relatives of the two graduates were also present.

Because De la Cruz and Solomon are under a dual-degree program, the two scholars earned a diploma at Teikyo and will be coming back to Adamson to complete their degree, after which they will receive their Adamson diploma upon graduation.

To date, Teikyo University has accepted two scholars per year since 2017.
