Library director elected to PAARL Board

The current director of the Library Services Department of Adamson University, Ms. Judeelyn Bundoc, was nominated and elected as member of the 2019 Board of Directors of the Philippine Association of Academic and Research Librarians (PAARL) at the Novotel Hotel Restaurant, Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City last December 8, 2018. She was also chosen as Public Relations Officer of the 2019 Executive Board.
The association set the criteria for nominees as being in good standing, with paid membership for the past five years, and a person with good moral character. Fellow librarian Mr. Sonny Boy Manalo of the Technological Institute of the Philippines (TIP) -Quezon City nominated Ms. Bundoc last September 2018.
Out of the sixteen nominees accepted by the Board of Election, the first nine nominees that received the most number of votes were elected to the board. The electronic voting was done from November 11 to December 2 through E-ballots e-mailed to eligible members of the association.
The other members of the Board are Rosela D. del Mundo – University Librarian, Jose Rizal University; Fernan R. Dizon – Executive Managing Director, KRC, Asian Institute of Management; Maria Gia G. Gamolo – Director of Libraries, Far Eastern University; Juan Martin R. Guasch – Chief Librarian, Asian Institute of Maritime Studies; Janice DC Peñaflor – Technical Services Coordinator, De La Salle University; Michelle A. San Gabriel – Head Librarian, Ecclesiastical Faculty Library, University of Santo Tomas; Engracia Santos – Assistant Director for Operations, Rizal Library, Ateneo de Manila University; and Marvic G. Selencio – College Librarian, San Beda College, Alabang.
PAARL represents the librarians of institutions supporting scholarly research and/or formal education on the collegiate and higher levels.
