AdU administrators attend forum in Taiwan

Three administrators from Adamson University attended the Chang Jung Christian University (CJCU) Partner School President Forum held in Tainan City, Taiwan last October 28-31, 2018. University President Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM; Dr. Catherine Q. Castañeda, Vice President for Academic Affairs; and Dean Perlita Crucis of the College of Pharmacy participated in the four-day event. 

The theme of the gathering was Developing University Social Responsibility: Models for Mutual Learning and International Cooperation.

The other attendees from the Philippines were Ellen Salac, Vice President for Academic Affairs of Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC); Maria Theresa Soriano, Dean, School of Nursing, EAC; Wilfred Tiu, President, Trinity University of Asia (TUA); Asia Fernando Trinidad, Dean, College of Hospitality and Tourism Management, TUA; Ferdinand Bunag, Dean, College of Engineering and Information Science, TUA; Dimpna Castigador, Director, Office of Institutional Advancement, Central Philippine University (CPU); Mary O' Penetrante, Director, University Research Center (CPU); and Anna May Zerrudo, Coordinator, University Distance Education Center (CPU). The other participants came from other Asian countries and the Czech Republic.

During one of the parallel sessions, Fr. Manimtim served as moderator in the discussions following the presentation of the paper Innovative: Social Enterprise: Social Business Movement-A World of Three Zeros by its presenter MFM Amir Khashru, former General Manager of Yunus Centre, Bangladesh.

The forum also held other activities such as a Campus Tour and an on-site visit to a rural village and river.
