The Adamson University (AdU) Soaring Falcons defeated the De La Salle University (DLSU) Green Archers, 57-50, in their second encounter in the ongoing UAAP Season 81 basketball tournament  at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City last October 20.

Adamson bounced back after losing to La Salle in their first meeting to gain a solo lead in the standings, albeit temporarily, consequently sharing the top with Ateneo after the Eagles routed FEU in the second game.

“We prepared pretty well against La Salle. Everyone was excited to play them today,” Adamson head coach Franz Pumaren shared how they came ready to play La Salle. “I guess what really transpired in this game is our defense. We showed today that we’re able to control them.”

Sean Manganti eyed to defeat DLSU to prove his worth as an athlete, still nursing some frustration over the latter’s rejection of his talent when he tried out years back. Coach Pumaren explained that "they rejected Sean and we developed him. That proves to you that in our program, we know how to develop players.”

The Soaring Falcons will try to improve their record when they face the UP Fighting Maroons on Sunday, October 28, at 4:00 p.m. at the FilOil Flying V Centre in San Juan after the UE-UST match at 2:00 p.m. Mervin Vince C. Lopez
