In its desire to have a continuing improvement and upgrading of the musical skills of the members of the Adamson University Brass Band, the Cultural Affairs Office, in collaboration with Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted a free Band Clinic for the brass band at the ST Quadrangle last August 26, 2018. Around 50 student-members attended. The workshop consisted of trainings for four sections, namely, Woodwind section (facilitated by Mr. Hernan Manalastas), Trumpet and Horns sections (facilitated by Mr. Glober Calambro) and Low Brass section (conducted by Mr. Ricson Poonin). The final session, which involved all the four sections, was facilitated by and rendered a performance under the baton of Maestro Herminigildo Ranera.
Adamson was among the few universities that got the opportunity to have the free PPO clinic, thanks to the efforts of the newly hired current band conductor, Maestro Reynato Ressureccion, Jr. who is also a member and principal oboist of the PPO.
The awarding of certificates and tokens of appreciation to the facilitators was given at the end of the one-day training.
