Adamson University forged a partnership agreement with the Industrial University of Tyumen (IUT), a leading university of the Tyumen Region of the Russian Federation, through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding by their respective presidents last February 2018. The partnership aims to foster goodwill, strengthen cultural ties and broaden faculty and student experiences through academic exchange and mutual cooperation in teaching and research.
Both universities implement educational programs in the field of engineering, and the partnership will reinforce specifically the area of Petroleum Engineering.
Like Adamson University, the IUT closely cooperates with key employers, actively implements programs of practical training, applying case studies of real companies, and having a significant part of the training directly at the enterprise. At IUT, two master's degree programs, namely Offshore Drilling and Geosteering, are conducted in English.
The AdU-IUT partnership opens a variety of cooperation possibilities and both hope to become, eventually, strategic academic and research partners. The Office for University Relations coordinated the efforts towards this end on behalf of Adamson University.
