The College of Architecture of Adamson University, in partnership with the Office for University Relations, has established an academic collaboration with Chung Hua University (CHU) in Hsinchu, Taiwan for the Master of Architecture program, with specialization in Urban Planning.
The collaboration started with the signing of an MOU last February 2018 between officials of Adamson and CHU. In that same visit, the guests had a workshop on the possibility of a tie-up between the two institutions. The workshop took place at the OZ-AVR and resulted in a series of proposals that both institutions later agreed to pursue. This eventually led to a MOA signing event in CHU in Taiwan last June 15, 2018.
The exclusive agreement focuses on sending architecture graduates of Adamson to Chung Hua University for the Master’s degree which can be completed in approximately two to three semesters only. A total of 9 units from Adamson’s architecture curriculum will be accredited to CHU’s Master’s program which translates to only 15 units of common courses to be taken by the AdU architecture graduate, instead of 24 units. Two compulsory courses of thesis seminar will follow after completing the mandatory 15-unit courses. The collaboration is set to start in the February 2019 intake in CHU.
