The Adamson University Student Government hosted Falcon Fete at the SV front grounds on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2018 featuring homegrown DJs, chart-topping bands and dance troupes who battled it out for the segment Winner Takes It All.
Now on its third year, Falcon Fete is an all-out party organized solely for college students as part of the celebration of the Founding Anniversary, which this year is on its 86th.
For the first part of the night, the groups Coeds from the College of Science and Kathari Dance Crew of the Psychology Society danced their hearts out for their fellow Adamsonians, followed by a series of heart-thumping sets by the DJ competitors, Amieray Gomez, Jia Meneces, and Lander Costales. An intermission number by a group of Adamsonian beat boxers, the Psychbeats, also set the mood of the night through their riffs.
The most awaited bands of the concert came next. First to perform was the indie rock band Where’s Ramona, then Ang Bandang Shirley, which was playing for the first time on the Adamson stage. These were followed by fan favorites IV of Spades and December Avenue who made the crowd sing their hearts out with their famous tunes. A set by Never the Strangers brought the concert to an end, with their hit song number Moving Closer giving the students feelings of falling in love again.
Later, the Kathari Dance Group and DJ Amieray Gomez were crowned winners of their respective categories. Christel Castillo
