The Adamson University Basic Education Department capped its annual celebration of Science Week with the crowning of Mr. and Ms. Earth Saver 2018 for the different grade and year levels at the FRC Quadrangle last February 28, 2018.
The event was the week’s highlight that saw several candidates glamorously parading in costumes made from recycled materials to promote the advocacy of protecting the environment through recycling and other means.
In his opening remarks, Grade School and Junior High School principal Mr. Daniel B. Saroca, Jr. said “the science week primarily aims to raise environmental awareness and recognizes the candidates as ambassadors of caring for the environment.”
Tenth graders Christopher Joshua Canoy (St. Catherine Labouré section) and Nimrah Syed (St. Vincent de Paul section) were hailed as Mr. and Ms. Earth Saver 2018 – Grade 10.
Andrei Mallari and Renalyn Joy Tuazon (St. Thomas section) were crowned Mr. and Ms. Earth Saver 2018 – Grade 9.
