The St. Vincent School of Theology’s (SVST) Master of Arts in Theology Program received Level II Re-Accredited Status from the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP).

The re-accreditation was granted after the SVST was deemed to have satisfactorily met the standards and fulfilled the requirements of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) in accordance with the Commission on Higher Education Memorandum Order No. 1, Series of 2005.

The re-accredited status is valid from October 12, 2017 until April 2022. SVST received a certificate from FAAP signed by Dr. Conrado E. Iñigo, Jr., President and attested to by Dr. Adlai C. Castigador, PACUCOA Executive Director.

SVST Dean Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM said of the re-accreditation: “This is our way of making theological education achieve a level of excellence at par with the rest of the sciences.” Citing a quote form St. Vincent de Paul, after whom SVST is named, which says that ‘It is not enough to do good; it should be done well,’ he thanked the students, faculty and staff who worked to make the re-accreditation possible. He also thanked Adamson University for its support.

Founded in 1985, SVST’s vision is “Doing theology from the margins.” It is located inside the St. Vincent Seminary complex along Tandang Sora Ave., Quezon City and is part of the Graduate School of Adamson University.
