To make the weeklong celebration of the 86th Founding Anniversary a bit different from the previous ones, the host college - the College of Business Administration - introduced a short comedy video competition among clustered offices and departments. The videos were shown at the SV Hall last February 15, 2018.
The contest aimed to heighten the merriment of the anniversary celebration through the output of each cluster and sure it did as the audience roared with fun and laughter upon viewing one video after another.
Team 2, composed of the office of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Registrar’s Office, Physical Facilities and General Services Office, Information Technology Center, Health Services, Institutional Development and External Affairs Office, Library Services, College of Pharmacy, Institute of Religious Education, and Senior High School, stunned the audience with a short story of a graduating BED student. It won them the championship.
Team 1, which clustered the President’s office, Internal Audit, Institutional Planning and Policy Development Office, Office of the University Legal Counsel, Office for University Relations, Office for Institutional Advancement, Innovation and Technology Support Office, Office for Vincentian Identity and Mission, and the College of Business Administration, brought joy to the audiences through a gag show and was awarded 1st Runner-up.
Team 3 included the office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Center for Research and Development, BED - Grade school to Junior High School, Center for Language Learning, Programs and Standards, Center for Professional Education, and the College of Education and Liberal Arts and was declared 2nd Runner-up.
Team 4 had the Office for Student Affairs, Guidance Office, Student Assistance and Scholarship Office, Campus Ministry, Integrated Community Extension Services Office, Cultural Affairs Office, Office for Athletics and Recreation, and the College of Engineering, showcased a music video and landed as 3rd Runner-up.
The College of Business Administration hopes that the video contest is not a one-time kind of event contest but is the start of something unique and worth looking forward to every year. Christel Castillo
