Pharmacy faculty is Best Oral Presenter in international conference

Mr. Darwin L. Obel, a faculty member of Adamson’s College of Pharmacy, was named Best Oral Presenter during the 5th International Conference on Advanced Pharmaceutical Research (ICAPH 2018) held in Rangsit University, Bangkok, Thailand last February 20-21, 2018. The conference was hosted by Rangsit University Faculty of Pharmacy and co-hosted by Blackmores Institute, Australia. It carried the theme Pharmaceutical Research for Quality of Life.
Obel was sent by the College of Pharmacy to present his research paper titled Preparation, Characterization and Antibacterial Activity of Gentamicin-Loaded Chitin Nanogel which was previously accepted and approved for oral presentation by the organizers.
Various international presenters coming from Bulgaria, Macedonia, Australia, Thailand and the Philippines attended the two-day conference. Engaging sessions about the benefits of the use of medical marijuana and different innovative ways of developing pharmaceutical products from plant sources also took place during the conference.
