Business students and educators meet in 2018 A-BEST Assembly

 The Alliance of Business Educators and Students of the Philippines, Inc. (A-BEST) - National Capital Region (NCR) held their 2018 assembly at the Adamson University Theater last February 23, 2018. The assembly tackled relevant issues prevalent in society, particularly those affecting the youth.

Hosted by Adamson University, through the Management and Marketing Department, led by its chairperson Mr. Menrado V. Cajayon, different participating schools from the NCR came to participate.

A-BEST Philippines President Prof. Jayme C. Ignacio welcomed the participants while Dr. Donatila A. San Juan, Educator Director, introduced the speakers.  

The assembly talked about issues affecting not only the business students but society in general. Ms. Remedios Moog, chairperson of the Integrated Professional Counselors Association of the Philippines and the head of the Office of Guidance and Counselling of the University of the East - Caloocan campus, talked about understanding and handling depression. She gave a glimpse of the problem of depression in the youth and gave steps on how to deal with it.

The next speaker, Mr. Ken Lerona, Director for Brand and Communication of Lamudi Philippines talked about branding and public relations which is evidently necessary not only for business students but for business educators as well. Afterwards, an open forum was conducted by Dr. Rosalinda B. Lacerona.

Aside from this initiative, a sportsfest will be conducted by A-BEST together with the participating schools at the Holy Angel University in Pampanga.
