Adamson ties up with Daegu Health College

Adamson University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with South Korea-based Daegu Health College last January 24, 2018, establishing mutual cooperation in academic research activities and programs.
The university welcomed Daegu Health College President Dr. Nam Sung Hee, Executive Director for International Relations Dr. Kim Kyung-Yong, and Culinary Arts professor Dr. Ahn Hong as they discussed matters regarding the MOU.
Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Catherine Q. Castañeda said in an interview that Adamson University and Daegu Health College are tying up for a student exchange arrangement in the Hospitality Management program. Daegu Health College offered a one-week internship program wherein students from Adamson University will go to Korea to learn about Korean cuisine and experience their culture. Students will be able to learn the recipe of various signature Korean dishes.
In addition to that, Hospitality Management department chair Ms. Judy Mappala said that the department is planning to consider this one week internship as an alternative for the first phase of the Hospitality Management on-the-job training which is the Restaurant phase taken during the summer break of their second year. Also, Daeugu Health College is offering an online lecture on how to create Korean dishes.
Furthermore, Dr. Castañeda said that Daegu is also planning to tie up with the College of Nursing but it still subject to further discussions.
