Adamson University to host hazardous waste management project

Adamson University has agreed to be a partner of the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) in implementing its project titled Assessing and Strengthening of the Chemical Safety and Hazardous Waste Management Program of Ten (10) Selected Academic Institutions in the National Capital Region (NCR). The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between AdU and DOST was held last December 2017.
The DOST - Industrial Technology Development Institute (DOST-ITDI) tapped Adamson University’s College of Engineering as one of the beneficiaries in implementing its project which aims to promote and transfer knowledge and expertise on hazardous waste management. With this project, the university will undergo a comprehensive hazardous waste assessment. DOST-ITDI will also conduct a seminar-workshop on Chemical Safety and Hazardous Waste Management. Furthermore, it will design a satellite and centralized hazardous waste storage facility and prepare a customized hazardous waste management manual for the university to utilize.
The agreement signed by Vice President for Administrative Affairs Dr. Venusmar C. Quevedo for Adamson and ITDI Director Maria Patricia V. Azanza, Ph.D. for DOST will run for a period of 12 months.
