For Adamson University, UAAP Season 80 is one for the books.

The Adamson Pep Squad bagged its first ever Cheerdance Competition championship title, toppling seven other competing squads last December 2, 2017 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The AdU Pep Squad, headed by their coach Jam Lorenzo, and team captain Dwyeth Vergeire, emerged victorious with their ‘80s Manila disco music-themed cheerdance number. Composed of classic disco moves and swings, matched with modern routines, the Falcons indeed soared to the top of the tier.

Not always looked upon as a top contender, the AdU Pep Squad inevitably surprised the crowd when they finished 3rd last season with their Hawaiian-themed performance and soared all the way to the top this season.

The UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe placed second while the UE Pep Squad finished third. Notable crowd favorites these past seasons, the UP Pep Squad and NU Pep Squad, failed to get a podium finish this time.

Expect the Soaring Falcons to continue to shock the UAAP in its coming seasons. Kudos, Falcons!
