DECLARATION OF PRINCIPLES AND OBJECTIVES
Section 1. The organization shall strive to promote computer animation and responsible esports gaming among its members as well as within the university.
Section 2. The organization recognizes the vital role of its members in nation building, thus believes that each member has an inherent responsibility to serve the organization.
History
AdU GAME began pre-pandemic when a group of students wanted to have other options for leisure and interest organizations in their college life. On February 20, 2020, the group began forming the organization focused on esports and animation by sending a letter of intent to Fr. Andrew S. Bayal, CM, Vice President for Student Affairs. Prior events such as the acceptance of esports as a recognized event at the 30th Southeast Asian Games in 2019 and the movement of various colleges and universities to create an esports focused organization, have fueled students’ desire for the University to do the same.
AdU GAME started with only 70-80 members during its maiden year, but has currently accumulated at least 150 members for its third year. One of the highlights of this organization is their partnership with AcadArena, the home of campus gaming and esports development in the Philippines and Southeast Asia, which has empowered students from over 300 schools across the nation to achieve holistic development through their passion for gaming and esports.
