Adamson University is once again figuring in various ranking lists, thanks to its all-out efforts at ensuring quality in its academic programs and related services.
In a 2015 Jobs and Salary Report by Jobstreet.com, Adamson University came eighth among the 10 schools most favored by employers when hiring particularly fresh graduates. To employers, the school one comes from still matters. According to the report, 71% of employers said that the school the prospective employee graduated from was still either “very important” or “quite important” to them. Jobstreet’s findings were reported by Rappler in the article Fresh grads: Do employers care about where you went to college? . The same Jobstreet findings were reported by the ABS-CBN News website in 10 Alma Maters that matter to employers.
In another ranking list, Adamson University was ranked number 40 among the top 1000 colleges and universities in the Philippines, number 484 in Southeast Asia and number 11760 in the World Ranking. This is according to the Cybermetrics Lab, a research group belonging to the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), the largest public research body in Spain, which puts out the World Ranking Web of Universities. The rankings are based on the performance of universities from all over the world based on their web presence and impact. More details can be found at the Cybermetrics website.
These recent rankings are independent initiatives that somehow credibly validate AdU’s constant push for excellence. These also reinforce and reaffirm past records such as, among others, its being included in Quacquarelli Symonds’ (QS) list of Top 300+ Asian Universities in 2010, 2011 and 2012 and Top 301+ Asian Universities in 2014.
Commitment to quality
The university’s vision of offering quality education particularly to the socially disadvantaged leads to its commitment to constantly improve and upgrade its programs. Aware that education has to be attuned to the challenges and demands of an increasingly competitive work environment, the university endeavors to address this concern the best way it can, through new programs, methodologies, systems, tools and equipment. Because Adamson students become well prepared upon graduation, they also become highly employable.
