Guidance Services

Filipinos are generally guidance–conscious. This seems to be an integral part of our familial culture. Since schools assume more and more the role of the family in the multifaceted development of the students, the Guidance Center takes on an important role in the school structure. Through its various services, the Center follows the development of a student from the time he enters the University until the time he leaves the school to enter into the world of work.

Vision

The Center for Guidance, Counseling, Testing and Placement Services is a sub-unit in the service offices in the University under the Office for Student Affairs. We envision ourselves as caring, nurturing, and affirming persons striving for wholeness and endeavoring to form a community of disciples, together with the administrators, faculty, employees, and students for the in-breaking of God's Kingdom in our society, specifically at Adamson University.

This shall be achieved through:

  • Effective and efficient delivery of seven basic guidance services: information, counseling, testing, career development, referral, research, and evaluation, primarily to all students and secondarily to the significant others who affect the student ‘s growth and development i.e. the faculty and the academic administrators.
  • Through counseling services facilitated by eight guidance offices located in different colleges.
  • Through the dissemination of reliable and updated information to assist the academic community in decision-making processes through the Testing, Research, and Evaluation Office.
