AdU Pharmacy Students Notch 2nd Place in National Quiz Bee

Adamson University’s Pharmacy students reaped honors in the National Pharmacy Quiz Bee 2009 held last December 3, 2009 at the College of Medicine Auditorium inside the University of Sto. Tomas.

Junior Pharmacy student Adriene Kenneth S. Fabella joined forces with seniors Emmanuel C. Damian, Eva Nina S. Salvacion and Kathrina Camille E. Manuel to win second place in the said contest. First place went to the University of the Philippines-Manila while Centro Escolar University-Malolos came in third. Adamson had been placed in a tough, no-win situation on the first round but eventually made a breakthrough to go all the way to the finals and take out a trophy. Prof. Rogie Carandang coached the team to success and prepped them for three weeks before the contest.

To this College of Pharmacy Dean Ryan Pekson proudly says, “The quality of education here in Adamson University only proves that Adamsonians can really do it, and they’ll be seeing more of us.” This is indeed another achievement for the College of Pharmacy and for the whole community as well.
