Administration Positions
Director for Library Services
Adamson University is seeking for a creative and experienced Director for Library Services. The Director reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and provides strategic direction and vision for the Library.
The Director will be responsible for:
- Selecting and purchasing of books, periodicals, audio-visual learning aids, and other printed and non-printed materials appropriate to student and staff instructional needs and according to selection policy
- Implementing and applying electronic systems for instruction, research, and management
- Circulationg materials and equipment to students and teachers, preparing and distributing fine list for overdue, damage or lost books, and maintain a daily circulation record
- Managing the evaluation, acquisition and processing of books, materials and equipment for the library
- Maintaining materials and equipment by repairing damaged books, selecting books and materials for bindery, and discarding materials that are no longer used
- Supervising library staff in the application of skills necessary to maintain a library
- Demonstrating professional responsibility by attending workshops, conferences, and in-service sessions
- Supporting professional development of library staff by sending them to appropriate trainings and seminars
Qualifications:
- Licensed
- Degree holder in Master of Library Science or Library and Information Science, with doctoral units is an advantage
- Has managerial experience
- Adept in professional library principles, methods, techniques, and procedures
- Has extensive knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in higher education and their impact on library services
- Possesses effective resource management
- Experiences working for at least five years in an academic library, from accredited institution is an advantage
- Has strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Qualifications:
- Preferably with MA/MS degree or with units in MA/MS in their respective fields
- Teaching experience is an advantage
Co-Academic Positions
Guidance Counselor
- Shall be responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of activities and services spearheaded by the Center for Guidance, Counseling, Testing, and Placement Services
- Licensed
- Graduate of four-year course, MA in Guidance and Counseling
- Can deal with individuals of all levels of the organization
- Must be decisive, analytical, and hardworking
Librarian
- Shall be responsible in the implementation and enrichment of the educational programs of the University by providing the students, academic, and co-academic personnel with significant learning facilities and resources
- Licensed
- Graduate of Library Science or Library and Information System
- Knowledgeable in library management and operations
- Can effectively deal with individuals in all levels of organizations
- Organized and high-stress tolerant
Office Staff
- Shall be responsible for performing general office work significant to the operation of the office
- Graduate of any four-year course
- Can effectively deal with individuals in all levels of the organization
- Systematic, goal-oriented, and approachable
