Two graduates of Adamson University’s Bachelor of Science in Geology program held the standard high for the university as they achieved the second and seventh highest scores in the geology licensure exams conducted in August 2012. The licensure exam is conducted by the Professional Regulation Commission.
David Carlo SP. Austria achieved the second highest score in the exam with 85.00% while Mel Anthony A. Casulla received a rating of 81.07% to land the seventh highest score. Austria, Casulla, and four other passers gave Adamson a 42.86% total passing rate.
The four other new geologists are Madelaine C. Cerio, Vanessa Andrea V. Llagas, David R. Villamor, and Mary Joy Celine A. Zarate.
Adamson is one of the six schools in the country and one of only three schools in Metro Manila to offer BS Geology, a program declared by the Commission on Higher Education as one of its priority disciplines, or those degrees and programs which are predicted to be vital to the country’s growth in the near future. Adamson’s graduates have also distinguished themselves in the licensure exams as well as in the mining and geology industries.
