Adamson University, through the Integrated Community Extension Services (ICES), has launched the AdU Charity Hub to provide relief and help to those affected by the heavy rain and flooding experienced by the country this past few days. The relief efforts began late Tuesday and early Wednesday—at a time when the rains were still pouring—when volunteers, students, employees, alumni, and friends from Adamson, Sta. Isabel College, Technological University of the Philippines (TUP), San Vicente de Paul Parish Church Lectors and Commentators Guild, Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SSVP), the Episcopal Commission on Youth, the Adamson University Student Government (AUSG), and the Red Cross Youth-AdU chapter gathered at the AdU campus to gather donations and start distribution of relief goods.
The Charity Hub needs donations for the following:
- Food (canned goods, instant cup noodles, biscuits, bottled water, milk, ready-to-eat meal packs, rice)
- Usable clothing (please do not donate second-hand underwear)
- Sleeping/floor mats
- Toiletries (toilet paper, new toothbrushes, toothpaste, diapers, pantiliners, sanitary napkins)
The Charity Hub might also need volunteer drivers and service vehicles in the next few days.
Cash donations are also most welcome. To make cash donations, please send them to:
