Adamson University announces with deep sorrow the passing of Dean Ponciano Subido, former dean of the College of Law, on July 24 at the age of 74. He is survived by his wife Cora, five children, children-in-law, and six grandchildren.
Dean Subido headed the College of Law from 1982 to 2002 and was a founding partner of the Subido Pagente Certeza Mendoza & Binay Law Firm. He was also a councilor of the fifth district of Manila and became the national president of the Philippine Councilors League (PCL) during his time as dean at Adamson. He subsequently became President Emeritus of the PCL.
He was also former president of the Philippine Association of Law Schools, founding president of the ASEAN Law Schools Association and the Philippine Jury Movement, and founding chairman and president of ANI-Pilipinas Party-List movement.
His remains lie in state at Chapel 1, The Heritage Park, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. His remains will be cremated on Saturday, July 28, at 9:00 AM.
