Dr. Jose Ma. Gonzales, erstwhile dean of the College of Business Administration (1999-2005), was given recognition as "Most Outstanding Atenean in the Field of Education" by the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU) last December 4, 2010. He was recognized "for his remarkable accomplishments as exhibited by his inspiringly excellent portfolio of achievements, which, in many dimensions, reveal his admirable attributes in shaping and pursuing his career; and for his outstanding achievements and exemplary feats vividly articulating his focus-minded goal, his intense passion for excellence and for his sturdy foundation in crafting a career deserving of genuine honor and distinction." He finished high school at ADZU in 1976.
Dr. Gonzales earned a string of degrees from Adamson University: BS Chemistry in 1976, MS Management Engineering in 1986 and Ph.D Management (Meritissimus) in 1990. He is currently the Managing Director of the School of Continuing Education of the Philippine Women's University in Manila. Even as he taught part-time at Adamson's College of Business Administration and Graduate School after his stint as dean, he came up with significant researches in the field of management and business education.
