Five chosen faculty members displayed their teaching expertise in the First Demo-Teaching Festival sponsored by the College of Liberal Arts, Dec.18 at the OZ-AVR. The theme of the festival, Global Teaching: New Paces, New Approaches, was clearly apparent on the different presentations of the respective “demo’ teachers.
Faculty members involved were Prof. Lynn Duro of the Filipino Department; Prof. Rommel Tilbe of the Physical Education Department; Prof. Alvin Tan of the Social Sciences Department; Prof. Neliza Casela; and Prof. Arlene Paredes of the Foreign Languages Department.
The activity was graced by Fr. Gregorio L. Banaga Jr., C.M, university president, and Bro. Henry E. Escurel, C.M., vice president for academic affairs—giving their thoughts about Jesus as the living teacher and as an educator to imitate. Dr. Servillano T. Marquez Jr, dean of the college, gave the welcome address. Dr. Florante C. Garcia, chair of the Filipino Department, spearheaded the activity.
