“It is but imperative for us in the academe to reach for excellence and be used to being competent,” avers the current chairperson of the University’s Industrial Engineering (IE) department, Prof. Noe Enriquez. Accordingly, the IE department of the University has been keeping this in mind, to be one with and take part in the University’s newfangled goal, which is ‘by 2011, Adamson University is recognized for quality academic programs, research, and community service, supported by effective internal organization and systems, sustained growth of its resources, and functional institutional partnerships.’
Members of the IE department recently attended the Professional Industrial Engineering Oath-taking Ceremony at Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Makati City last March 6, 2008. The Industrial Engineering Certification Board (IECB) presents the list of candidates for Professional Industrial Engineer Under Grandfather Rule. Qualified Adamson graduates who made it to the record are Arlyn N. Angco, Juanito S. Chan, Maida A. Dela Cueva, Noe D. Enriquez, Ivy M. Gascon, Luis A. Jacinto, Delfin R. Jacob, Walter S. Lotilla, Renato C. Mañalac, Florendo G. Maranan, Lorellie Ramona M. Maxino, Venusmar C. Quevedo, Francispito P. Quevedo, Nestley I. Sore, and Zeny Lontoc.
Engr. Enrico C. Nera lead the oath-taking proper and served as the event’s guest speaker. Aura C. Matias, Ph.D, chair of IECB, gave the welcome address.
