Three programs under the College of Liberal Arts namely AB Mass Communication, AB Economics, and AB Political Science acquired Level III status during the PACUCOA accreditation last March 4-6, 2008.
The accreditors were impressed with the academic researches presented by the students and the competence of the instructors from the College. Other criteria such as Library and Community Service enabled the College to earn high points in the accreditation.
The College of Liberal Arts had the privilege of being the first to utilize the Accreditation Room and its facilities. It was Dr. Myrna Añes, Assistant Vice-President for Academic Affairs, who conceived of the idea of having such room.
One of the room’s salient features is the archiver compactor. This is where all the most important files of the different colleges are housed. Other documents such as theses, certificates, and compliance reports are also kept here.
Adamson University is one of the two schools in the Philippines that have an accreditation room.
Situated in the 2nd floor of the CS Building, the new Accreditation Room adjoins the Office of the VPAA. It was a classroom before it was converted into an elegant working place.
The Accreditation Room also serves as conference room and reception area for visitors. JANermal
