Three Adamsonians will experience a tradition that has attracted millions of participants to one of the biggest celebrations of the youth—the World Youth Day. Emmanuel Damian (BS Pharmacy), Jacquelyn Paula Lais (BS Accountancy), and Jannine Louise Cayaba (BS Computer Engineering) will leave the country on July 8 for New South Wales, Australia for a one-week gathering of the Vincentian Family. Come July 15, these three delegates will stay in Sydney, Australia to take part in the World Youth Day ’08 until the 20th.
World Youth Day ’08 (WYD08) will gather over 125,000 international visitors—more than the number of participants during the 2000 Olympics. It will also mark the first visit of His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to Australia.
