Prof. Zhao Chenping—Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exhanges of Chonqing University, China came to the University last June 19, 2008 to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with AdU President Fr. Gregg L. Bañaga Jr., C.M. The memorandum was designed to ‘foster goodwill, strengthen cultural ties, and broaden faculty and student experiences and horizons through academic exchange and mutual cooperation in teaching and research’ for both universities.
This agreement will last for three (3) years starting from the date of signing. Reviewing of the agreement shall be done after the period if possible extension is desired. Among the particular plans stated in the agreement were exchange of faculty and researchers, exchange of undergraduate and graduate students for research and study, exchange of instructional materials, organization of joint research projects including publication in professional journals, organization of joint continuing education activities such as seminars and workshops, and development of cultural exchanges through sharing of information on culture and arts and heritage studies.
