Dr. Paulino C. Galvez, faculty and former Chairperson of the Psychology Department, was elected to the new Board of Directors of the Psychological Association of the Philippines (PAP). The election took place during the 45th Annual Convention of PAP held in Brokenshire College, Kadayawan, Davao City last August 14-16, 2008.
In the same convention, Dr. Reynold P. Varela presented his paper titled The Lived Experiences of Teachers Handling Children with Special Needs: A Psycho-Phenomenological Inquiry.
Other attendees from Adamson University were Dr. Ma. Gladiola M. Santos and Dr. Teresita M. Malabuyo.
This year's theme Facing Emerging Issues and Building Better Futures: A Call to Psychologists expresses PAP's recognition of the relevant role that psychologists can play in solving some of the problems that the country now encounters, especially those that have influences in shaping the future of the Filipinos.
