The Fr. Leandro Montanana, C.M. Library is spearheading the 20th Library Open House on November 25-26, 2008. This year’s theme is dubbed “Read: to reach out, to touch hearts, and transform lives.”
The first day will mark the awarding of “Frequent Library Borrowers” and handing out of Certificates of Appreciation for Faculty Library Committee Members. An exhibit featuring rare books and old photographs will also be unveiled.
Lectures on the Demonstrations of Electronic Resources and APA Style Format: Bibliography Making will be conducted from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. respectively. For narrative buffs, a storytelling session is organized and scheduled on Nov. 26 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Book worms are advised to stay near the ST Quadrangle from Nov. 25-28 to haggle for books during a Book Sale sponsored by book dealers, namely: Asia Type Distribution, Adarna Publishing House, Fastbooks Educational Supply, Forefront Book Co. Inc., and Powerbooks.
“It is hoped that the whole community will take part in this annual event. Our office thought of these activities for all members of the community,” encouraged Ms. Helen Ordoñez, Officer-in-Charge of the Library Services.
