Adamson University Freezes Tuition

Date Posted: Feb 2, 2009 at 06:25:35 AM

In view of the local and global economic crunch, Adamson University has decided not to increase its tuition fee for School Year 2009-2010. This is also in response to the call from the Government, the Commission on Higher Education (CHED), and the House of Representatives to educational institutions to help ease the burden of the Filipinos. This is the third time that the University is opting not to hike its tuition fee. The first was during the presidency of Fr. Jimmy Belita, C.M. while the second was in 2005 during the first term of Fr. Gregg L. Bañaga, Jr., C.M., the current president. Another big relief to parents, guardians, and students is the Administration’s announcement that even the miscellaneous fees shall not be raised. University president Fr. Gregg L. Bañaga, Jr., C.M. said that “This decision of the Management came amidst the fact that in the new school year, we are expected to increase the salaries of the employees and apply the summer pay scheme for the first time under the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).” JCM
