The Cultural Affairs Office (CAO) in partnership with the College of Architecture launched the “Amorsolo Noon, Adamsonian Ngayon” Painting Contest last November 24, 2008 at the University Theater during the Henyo ng Sining Biswal: Isang Pagpupugay event celebrations. These events were part of the His Art, Our Heart Amorsolo Retrospective.
Winners have finally been selected and they were honored at the awarding ceremonies held last February 13, 2009. The outstanding artists were Reggie Yapoyco, first place; Alvin Castañeda, second place; and Adonis Bryan Umalos, third place. The winners received cash prizes and painting materials from Pebeo, which included 3D canvases, oil colors, and brushes.
The CAO expresses its gratitude to Pebeo, which also provided materials for the contest apart from its sponsorship.
