The Adamson Alumni Basketball League (AABL) has just concluded its first season and the Mighty Sports team won the first championship over the Legalas-Bostik team, 109-85.
Mighty Sports, powered by Adamson’s PBA stalwarts Kenneth Duremdes, Jerome Ejercito and Marlou Aquino, had a strong showing throughout the rounds, achieving excellent win-loss statistics and making it to the final four. Legalas-Bostik rallied to top their rivals despite other teams’ better standings, earning them a berth in the finals . Eventually Mighty Sports trounced the latter by a margin of 24 points.
Other teams that earned Final Four slots were the combined team of Adamson alumni and policemen from the Manila Police District Station 5 which settled for second runner-up spot and the Greek Gods team which ended the season as third runner-up. Yael Esperat
