The Center for Health Services led by Director Dr. Janice T. Ang has teamed up with Pfizer, one of the leading pharmaceutical companies in the country, to launch the Sulit Care Health and Wellness Club in Adamson University.
The Pfizer Sulit Care Health and Wellness Club promotes the overall well-being of Adamson employees through various programs aimed at improving and maintaining good health. Through Sulit Care, employees can battle absenteeism and increase their productivity as they learn ways to achieve proper nutrition and switch to a better, healthier lifestyle. The club also enhances the health benefits provided by the University to its employees as well as their dependents.
Among the benefits that members can get from the club are lectures and information on ailments such as hypertension and diabetes, ways to quit smoking, stress and weight management, and food and nutrition; updates on the latest health issues along with tips on staying fit and healthy through the Health and Wellness website and newsletters; basic examinations like blood chemistry to check their cholesterol and sugar levels; and big discounts of Pfizer products such as Norvasc, Lipitor, Ponstan, and Zoloft and others through the Pfizer Sulit Card. The Sulit Card can also be used by the employees’ immediate family members and dependents.
The Health and Wellness Club formally made its presence felt last September 22 with a lecture on Lifestyle for a Better Health at the OZ Audio-Visual Room. The next activity will be a screening for blood sugar and cholesterol which is set to take place in November, just before the Christmas season, to be followed by a seminar on stress management.
More exciting benefits and information await AdU employees. All that needs to be done is have a consultation with the Center for Health Services at ST Clinic (Main) to become a member. The Clinic can be reached at local 200. Yael Esperat
