The Computer Engineering Program under the College of Engineering has finally received its Center of Development (COD) award from the Commission on Higher Education.
Vice President for Administration Mrs. Ana Liza M. Ragos and Computer Engineering chair Prof. Liza Reyes received the award from CHED Chairman Emmanuel Angeles in a ceremony held at the CHED Function Hall last December 21, 2009.
Chairman Angeles mentioned that only 59 educational institutions from the more than 1,100 private and public higher educational institutions or less than 10% from the overall number of colleges and universities qualified to become Centers of Development and Centers of Excellence. As such, awardees are exemplified as model schools for the programs that meet CHED’s criteria.
From the 59 awardees, 12 belong to the NCR and the rest from regions 1 to 12, CARAGA and CAR regions. AdU is proudly joined by De La Salle University, University of Sto. Tomas, Mapua Institute of Technology, and Asia Pacific College in the field of Engineering.
