The management of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) recently presented a Special Award to Adamson University for being a loyal partner for thirty-two straight years, having chosen the Center as Host Venue of its graduation ceremonies from 1978 to the present. In ceremonies dubbed Host to the World held on December 6, 2009 at the Delegation Building main lobby, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Governor and PICC Board Chairman Amando M. Tetangco, Jr. handed over the award to Dr. Servillano Marquez Jr., Dean of the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Education, who represented the president. Also in attendance as Adamson delegates were Mrs. Imelda Valdez, head of the Admissions Office and Ms. Lorna Espeso, director of the P.E. department.
The PICC is located at the Cultural Center of the Philippines complex along Roxas Boulevard and its cavernous Plenary Hall comfortably accommodates the thousands of AdU graduates, their parents and guests that attend first and second semester graduation rites of Adamson. There being no in-campus venue wide enough to hold a large gathering, use of the PICC facility is likely to continue for many more years to come. RDA
