Filipinos usually have the urge, even the tendency to over-indulge during the holidays. Over-indulge in the good cheer, gifts and love—and over-indulge in food. So before Adamson University employees give over to their Christmas and New Year cravings, the Center for Health Services (CHS) brought back the Pfizer team to check whether they are prepared to face the holidays.
Employees woke up early on December 8, 2009 to gather at the OZ Audio-Visual Room for the Health and Wellness Activity, the last activity of the year by CHS and Pfizer as part of its programmed activities under the Sulit Care Club partnership. On that morning the men and women working at the University’s various departments lined up to have body mass index (BMI), blood pressure, sugar and cholesterol levels taken to find out whether they are fit to enjoy the holidays or if they need to slow down on the lechon and cake. After they finished their tests, participants got advice from a Pfizer doctor on how to keep their symptoms in check. Sulit Cards and other freebies were also given away.
The Health and Wellness Activity is just one of the many activities designed to help Adamson employees stay in shape. More activities are in store for this year as well.
