The Adamson University Chemical Engineering Toastmasters Club has reasons to celebrate the coming of 2010 after two of its members swept honors in a recent competition.
The speaking abilities of the ChE students honed the Toastmasters way was proven last December 5, 2009 when two members won in the Speech Contests of the 4th Achievers' Rookies Invitational Cup held at the Makati Stock Exchange Building in Makati City. John Lester L. Morillo, a 4th year ChE student, won first runner-up in the International Prepared Speech category while Melody Jay D. Ison, a recent ChE graduate, also won as first runner-up in the Impromptu Speech Contest.
The twin victories were definitely a big boost for Morillo and Ison and for the club, as the two delegates were the youngest among the contestants and their contenders being professionals already.
