Putting in a touch of innovation, the Office for Student Affairs (OSA) has required all recognized student organizations (RSOs) to undergo a panel defense of their operational plans for School Year 2010-2011. The defense took place from June 1 to 4 at the OSA Director’s Conference Room.
The panel defense screens the proposed programs, plans and projects of the organization, among them the budget allocations for each organization activity throughout the year. The panel will then make recommendations, changes, and revisions to the proposed plans particularly if they do not meet OSA policies and standards. Once approved, the plans are then submitted to the OSA Development Section for recording and reference; afterwards, no activity will be allowed to take place if it is not reflected in the approved plan.
The panel was composed of Prof. Pio Jagurin, Prof. Alejandro Nueva, Jr., and Mrs. Leah Platon-Pandico, head of OSA’s Student Development Section.
