Adamson University will be seeing a new direction for its ROTC unit as a new commandant took the helm last July 1 in a simple ceremony at the President’s Office Conference Room.
LCDR Stephen Tuballa PN is now the Commandant of the 246th Naval ROTC Unit, replacing LT Ruel Nicolas PN who will now serve as Commandant at Philippine Maritime Institute. Previously, LCDR Tuballa was commandant at another Metro Manila university.
University officials who were present during the turnover were University President Fr. Gregg L. Bañaga Jr., C.M., who also presided over the turnover; Fr. Andrew Bayal, C.M., VP Student Affairs; Atty. Julius Babista, director of the Office for Student Affairs; Mrs. Leah Pandico-Platon, head of OSA’s Student Development section; and Prof. Bernie Rances, head of OSA’s Discipline Section.
Also in attendance were officials from the Philippine Navy led by CDR Ronulfo Saonoy PN, commander, Naval Reserve Command; COL Generoso Mariano PN(M) (GSC), CPO Efren Sulit PN, CPO Charlie Caasi PN, and PO3 Ramil Moral PN.
