The Computer Science Department, through the efforts of its chairperson, Prof. Rejan Tadeo, enhanced its student development program by entering into three additional memoranda of agreement last July 22. These new partnerships cover three phases of student success, starting from on-the-job training of the students, to pre-employment skills training and eventually to their employment in the field.
The companies that just recently partnered with the department are Narra Systems Corporation, which promised to accommodate the graduating students for their apprenticeship; the Bronze Age Media, Inc., which will provide career development and counseling, particularly in pre-employment skills; and, the ITPros Asia, which will assist the recruitment of the graduates in IT companies.
Signing for the three companies were Mr. Maurice Gil Cruz, Program Manager of Narra Systems and a Computer Engineering alumnus of Adamson University, Ms. Anastacia Tania Arpa, President of Bronze Age Media, Inc., and Ms. Genevieve Dumini, founder and Chief Executive Officer of IT Pros Asia.
For Adamson University, the signatories were Dean Ma. Gladiola Santos of the College of Science and Prof. Tadeo. On hand to witness the signing of the three MOAs were Dr. Myrna Añes, Associate Vice President for Academic Affairs, and all the chairpersons of the College of Science.
