The University believes that physical education, which finds its full expression in competitive sports, is an essential component of the students' holistic development. Hard work, sportsmanship, team spirit, and diligence in studies are some of the values instilled among the athletes. Equipment and facilities are available in support of this. An active member of the UAAP, the University has garnered championship trophies in basketball, volleyball, baseball, and softball.

Several Adamsonians were among the Filipino athletes who represented the three stars and the sun in the 28th Southeast Asian (SEA) Games held in Singapore from June 5 to June 16, 2015.   The volleyball teams of Adamson University had an impressive outing in the Cordilleras with podium finishes in the 16th National Intercollegiate Volleyball Championships-Pedro Mendoza Jr. Memorial  Cup held at Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet from May 27-31, 2015. The contributions of Marlou Aquino, assistant coach of Adamson University’s men’s basketball team, to Philippine basketball was permanently etched in the records of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) with his inclusion to the league’s Greatest Players list, released in time for its 40th anniversary this year.
