The Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) Commission on Elections recently announced the members of the 2014-2016 PACU Board of Trustees. Two students from Adamson University’s BS Pharmacy program proved their mettle as they were selected to become scholars of the country’s leading drugstore chain.   Maria Francesca Celedonio and Wally Tapas, third year BS Pharmacy students, were awarded with full scholarships effective this school year by Mercury Drug Foundation, Incorporated (MDFI) in a ceremony held last May 17, 2014 at the Mercury Drug Corporation main office in Quezon City.   Students from Adamson University’s College of Pharmacy presented their research papers in the oral and poster presentations during the Philippine Pharmacists’ Association’s (PPhA) National Convention held last April 24-26, 2014 at the SMX Convention Center in Lanang, Davao City. The softball team celebrates with Fr. Even Adamson University's international students are making a name for themselves in local sports. Johnny Leo, a BS Geology freshman, was recently given the Finals MVP award during the Head & Shoulders 7s League held by the Philippine Rugby Football Union (PRFU) at the Nomads Sports Club in Parañaque City last October 26. The opening of the beach volleyball and badminton competitions in UAAP Season 76 has been moved to a later date.   The beach volleyball competitions, which were supposed to kick off last Saturday, August 17, at the University of the East sand courts, will open instead on August 31 in the same venue.   The badminton season opener has also been moved to August 31 but the venue will be announced later.   UNIVERSITY of the Philippines Integrated School (UPIS) took its first win in UAAP Season 76 juniors basketball action but had to do it the long way.   The Junior Maroons needed four overtime periods to squeak past the Adamson University Baby Falcons, 89-87, on Sunday at the Mall of Asia Arena.
